Using Yanioba
Yanioba helps users report incidents, discover nearby safety activity, create alert zones, follow incident updates, use maps, manage account settings, and contact support. By using Yanioba, you agree to use it lawfully, responsibly, and in a way that supports community safety.
Not an Emergency Service
Yanioba is an awareness, reporting, and coordination app. It does not replace official emergency numbers, emergency services, medical care, police reporting, fire service response, or any other official public-safety channel. If there is immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service first.
Accounts and Security
Some features require an account. Keep your sign-in details secure, use accurate contact information, and do not let another person use your account. Yanioba may use verification codes, verified contact details, and multi-factor settings to protect account access and sensitive actions.
Community Reports
Incident reports are submitted by users and may be incomplete, duplicated, inaccurate, or unverified when first posted. Submit reports in good faith, choose accurate categories and locations, and do not submit harmful, false, abusive, misleading, or unlawful content.
Photos, Videos, Documents, and Other Content
Only upload content that you have the right to share and that is relevant to the incident being reported. Do not upload content that invades privacy, endangers people, encourages harm, or violates applicable law. Yanioba may review, restrict, remove, or preserve content where needed for moderation, safety, security, legal, or operational reasons.
Maps, Alerts, and Notifications
Maps, directions, alert zones, and notifications are provided to support safety awareness and planning. They may depend on device permissions, connectivity, location accuracy, user preferences, verified contact details, and service availability. Always use your own judgment and follow official instructions in safety-sensitive situations.
Paid Features and Tokens
Yanioba includes premium, trial, agency, wallet-token, and usage-based features. Prices, durations, limits, and entitlements are shown where those features are presented. Payment processing may be handled by Paystack or applicable app-store payment systems.
Agency and Administrative Tools
Agency and administrative capabilities are limited to authorised users. Those tools may include incident review, verification, activation, closure, flagging, moderation, responder management, insights, and exports where access rules allow. Do not attempt to access tools or information that you are not authorised to use.
Account and Data Deletion
You can start account deletion from the app or use the public deletion page at /delete-account. Deletion may require identity verification and may be subject to records that Yanioba must retain for security, payment, dispute, legal, or platform-integrity reasons.
